  • Health: You should be in good overall health and not have any medical conditions that may complicate surgery.

Pre-Operative Consultation

Before undergoing lipo, it is essential to schedule a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon. You and Dr. Linville will discuss your goals, medical history, and expectations during this consultation. This step ensures that it is the right choice for you and that you are well-prepared for the procedure.

The Surgical Process

Anesthesia: This procedure is typically performed under local or general anesthesia. Depending on the extent of the procedure, our surgeons will determine the most suitable option for your case.

Incision: Small, inconspicuous incisions are made near the target areas. Our surgeon inserts a thin tube called a cannula in these incisions.

Fat Removal: The surgeon gently maneuvers the cannula beneath the skin to break up and suction out excess fat cells. This step requires precision and expertise to ensure smooth, even results.

Closing Incisions: Once the desired fat removal is achieved, the incisions are closed with sutures. The area is dressed with sterile bandages.

Recovery and Results

You can expect some swelling and bruising, which is normal. Dr. Linville will provide detailed post-operative care instructions to minimize discomfort and optimize healing. Over the following weeks and months, you will notice a gradual improvement in your body’s contour, with final results becoming apparent within six months.

High-Definition Body Etching

The latest evolution technique goes beyond simple contouring. It can:

  • Create the appearance of abdominal wall muscles
  • Enhance definition in the arms or legs
  • Refine your look completely

VASER Liposuction

VASER Lipo and Ultrasound lipo help with etching or contouring. This helps prevent sagging or drooping due to the heat aspect of lipo. The technique causes the underlying tissue to contract and the overlying skin to shrink.

Excision-Site Lipo

Excision-Site Lipo helps the tissues match up when the incisions are closed. It can also help preserve sensory nerves during the process.

Superficial Lipo

Traditional lipo focuses on the deeper layers of fat. Superficial lipo instead focuses on the surface layers of fat for precise contouring. It can increase your results and perfectly contour the targeted area.

Recovery and Downtime

As an outpatient procedure, you can return home the same day. There will be follow up appointments with Dr. Linville to ensure you are healing correctly.

For the first few weeks, you will want to focus on resting. It is essential to give your body time to heal, providing better results. The first few days will be the most important. We recommend having someone available to help you with daily tasks for the first couple weeks.

You can expect some discomfort and swelling after the procedure. However, these can be managed with prescribed medication. However, if the discomfort begins to worry you, contact our office.

It would be best if you did not exercise or lift anything for at least two weeks after surgery. After two weeks and with the doctor’s approval, you can begin some light exercise and lifting. Below you will find some tips for how to promote healing during your recovery period.

As long as patients maintain their weight, liposuction provides long-term results. Your physical appearance will be improved, and your body will appear smoother and more sculpted.

Patients report increased levels of confidence and boosted self-esteem after the procedure. As your body continues to heal, you will feel more and more pride in your appearance. You will see results immediately, but your final results will be evident within three months.

Liposuction for Men

Dr. Linville provides a specialized approach for liposuction for men. Male lipo is at its core similar in some ways to the procedure for women, but it has several key adaptations that make it ideal for a masculine body structure.

Male liposuction involves removing fat in areas such as the abdomen, chest, and flanks which can be difficult to get rid of through traditional diet and exercise methods. The difference between male and female procedure is that male is designed to produce a tighter, more masculine body shape. In addition, Dr. Linville takes into consideration the thicker skin and unique position of fat deposits that are often characteristic of a male body when performing this procedure.

The goal is to provide patients with a slimmer, more toned physique while preserving or enhancing the uniquely masculine features of their bodies. The procedure can also be adapted based on the patient’s individual aesthetic preferences, developing a body contour that matches their ideals.

Be strong. Be confident. Be the star of your own life.
